The Path to Emotional Coherence

Coherence Therapy is a process of deep discovery, where your symptoms are understood not as errors, but as coherent responses to past experiences.

01.

Discovery

We begin by identifying the specific emotional logic and 'pro-symptom' schemas that make your current reactions feel necessary and coherent within your inner map of reality.

02.

Integration

The subconscious logic is brought fully into your conscious experience. You begin to feel the inherent wisdom in the symptom, removing the sense of brokenness or error.

03.

Juxtaposition

By looking at the old logic alongside new, contradictory information, the brain's neuroplasticity is activated, allowing the outdated map to naturally dissolve.

04.

Realignment

The target symptom ceases permanently because its emotional necessity has been resolved. You experience a profound sense of coherence and lasting emotional freedom.

ABOUT ME

WHERE DID I TRAIN

I originally trained as a Counsellor in the U.K. at the University of Hertfordshire graduating in 2007 in Psychodynamic Therapy.

I then returned to NZ working in Executive Leadership, Organisational Development, and Change Management, building a global consulting arm then implementing projects to build High Performance Cultures in large organisations. I worked with clients across NZ, UK, Europe, US and the Indo-Pacific region.

I retired from the corporate sector and returned to working as a Counsellor in Individual and Group Therapy. I gained a Graduate Diploma in Science and Technology (Psychology) at Massey University, but needed more than theory. I was then accepted into the Internal Family Systems (IFS Institute) training which led me to learn about and train further in Coherence Therapy (Coherence Psychology Institute) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for Couples.
